About
kinematic alignment technique aims to restore normal knee function by resurfacing the femur and tibial articular surfaces to those of the normal or pre-arthritic state. This approach is aimed at achieving the best patient satisfaction and function, as well as minimum damage to the surrounding tissues and ligaments.
The Israeli orthopedic community has been recognized as leading in adopting and developing new techniques and technologies that may improve patient outcome. a unique multicentric collaboration is proud to show cast the experience they have gained during the last 2 years with the novel kinematic alignment approach for total knee replacement.
The two days meeting will focus on the topic of kinematic alignment from its basic science , through clinical utilization/techniques, and will end up with consensus statements related to controversies around this field.
The organizing committee would like to specially acknowledge and thank Dr Stephen Howell (USA) for developing and supporting the kinematic alignment technique during recent years. His unbelievable lifework has the true potential to bring to a paradigm shift in knee arthroplasty and to help millions of patients around the world to have a better knee surgery.
